Katrice Cornett - Owner & Designer of KRTKJ Designs

Katrice Cornett, the visionary behind KRTKJ Designs, is an experienced designer and business owner who founded her clothing and apparel company in 2020 amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic. Already the creative force behind Kat's Krochet—a handmade crochet brand—Katrice expanded her talents into graphic design, launching KRTKJ Designs as a way to supplement her family’s income during uncertain times. With a background in designing for independent artists, concerts, and events, Katrice adapted her skills to create unique t-shirts, mugs, tote bags, and more, bringing her bold and inspirational designs to life.

Rooted in her love for music, Katrice’s early t-shirt designs often draw inspiration from her own songs. The “Created for a Purpose” shirt, for example, anticipates her upcoming 2025 release, Masterpiece, based on Ephesians 2:10. The popular "I Am Strong & Courageous" design celebrates Katrice's 2022 single release Strong & Courageous, based on Joshua 1:9. Through these heartfelt creations, Katrice infuses faith and inspiration into every design, capturing the essence of her music and message. Beyond her own brand, KRTKJ Designs has also collaborated with churches and organizations, including the New England Prophetic Conference and Disciples Fellowship Christian Ministry’s worship conferences, crafting apparel that aligns with their values and missions.

Katrice’s journey into the arts began at the age of eight, when her mother taught her crochet and needlepoint. After years of focusing on family and single motherhood, her creative passion was rekindled when her daughter Kendra expressed interest in learning to crochet. This sparked Katrice’s renewed commitment to crafting, leading her to create beautiful handmade scarves, hats, and earrings under Kat’s Krochet, and soon after, KRTKJ Designs.

Today, KRTKJ Designs and Kat's Krochet operate under a single platform to better serve their growing audience. With a focus on custom t-shirts, Katrice and her team take pride in delivering captivating designs that spread messages of inspiration, encouragement, and faith.
